Today we had brunch at Public School 213 in Downtown LA.
It isn’t too often that I go out for a foodie in LA anymore so having brunch with bottomless mimosas was definitely necessary. We drove to Union Station and hopped on the subway to the Financial District area.
I’ve been to Public School 213 once before for happy hour and appetizers so this was a first for an actual meal. I ordered their brunch chilaquiles that had fried corn tortillas, tomatillo sauce, chicken, radish, cilantro, pickled onion, poblano crema, cotija cheese & sunny side up eggs. Richard had their eggs benedict pizza with prosciutto, grana padano, hollandaise, and two fried eggs.
My chilaquiles wasn’t too bad but the bottom of the tortilla stack got soggy real quick because of the sauce so keep that in mind before you order. The pizza was good too but you can definitely taste all of the butter they put on it. Carbs on carbs lol.
Public School 213 has multiple locations so if you ever stop by, they have a lot of games to play with friends and a good happy hour menu as well. It is a very chill gastropub type of bar.
Here are some photos from brunch and if you want to check out Public School 213, I have linked it to their Yelp page in the beginning of this post 🙂
